What is Lifestyle Disorder?

Lifestyle disorders, also known as non-communicable diseases (NCDs) or chronic diseases, are health conditions primarily caused by unhealthy behaviors and choices, often linked to modern lifestyles. These disorders result from factors such as poor diet, lack of physical activity, tobacco and alcohol use, and chronic stress. Common examples include obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, and certain types of cancers. These disorders typically develop over time and can have a significant impact on quality of life and overall health. Prevention and management often involve adopting healthier lifestyle habits, such as balanced nutrition, regular exercise, stress reduction, and avoiding harmful substances.
